Nature has a way of reminding us who we are
The name Kodiak Press is an ode to Alaska and the wild beauty that has profoundly shaped my life and creative journey.
The time I spent in Alaska gifted me with unforgettable memories of breathtaking landscapes, remarkable wildlife, and invaluable lessons that remain a source of inspiration to this day.
At an early age, my mother, a fascinating artist who believed in a diverse education, introduced me to charcoal sketching with live models. That early foundation led to wonderful art schools, trade schools, and enriching travel experiences that helped shape my creative path.
Over the years, I've explored many artistic mediums, including watercolor, oil painting, acrylics, charcoal, pen & ink, stained glass, photography, and digital art.
After a deeply rewarding career in the equine industry, along with years of creating art on the side, I now have the privilege of dedicating myself fully to writing, illustrating, and publishing books through Kodiak Press.
Creating these books has been an extraordinary endeavor and a source of profound validation.
